This home was for sale but they were not able to attract any buyers because the aesthetics were to someone’s personal tastes and too outdated for the market.
It was in need of a good makeover to bring it back up to date and get it move in ready without spending too much.
Most of the ceilings were stucco’d, which needed to be scraped, sanded and then skimmed with plaster a few times to create smooth ceilings. You’d never know they were stucco’d before.
The crown moulding was removed and the corners were taped and plastered flush with the wall and ceiling.
Most rooms had wallpaper (many layers) which had to be removed (with steam), which also revealed a number of old bad plaster repairs. All re-skimmed and levelled out.
Then it was all sanded, primed, caulked and painted with a top quality paint in bright neutral colours, to appeal to a broader range of potential buyers.
